Is this really the final act for this trilogy of horrors. I guess so. then Jeff Abrams now goes one better by mooning the audience and laughing. There are so many (too many to even list) WTF moments in this, it just beggers belief. Second up, when did Palpatine have kids. or is this "revelation" simply yet another ridiculous, can't-be-bothered attitude from the house of mouse. Very probably. Star Wars fans should avoid this new trilogy. It is a crying shame we are now lumbered with this as Star Wars Canon. Okay, now for the cast: It's wonderful to see Billy Dee back on the Falcon. Shame he has very little to actually do or contribute. John Boyega looks fed-up that he doesn't get to play with a lightsaber again. The fat chinese bird is still in it (seriously. Daisy Ridley (however gorgeous she might be) looks bored. and is still wooden. Adam Driver just blatantly doesn't want to be doing this rubbish, and it shows. And Palpatine is still alive. Okay, so he's going to revel and cackle as to how he did it. Oh, okay. Nope. Nothing. Nada. Apparantly unnatural abilities are all the rage for a man over 100 years of age (and then some. And how come Snoke was "created. From what, exactly. Do yourselves a big favour. Turn your brain off. Ignore everything you see and hear for these 2 plus hours. Fondly remember your childhoods, and pretend Disney is just the fairy tale it was, and should be. Really, what's next. Kane from Alien isn't dead because the dark side of the force is a pathway. Well, you get the gist. So this is me. Last survivor of Disney Star Wars. Signing off.

The movie is clearly better than its predecessor, because at least it told some story. Watching the movie i got the feeling that episode 9 tried to undo some of the decisions which were made in episode 8, but in doing so the movie got heavily overloaded. They packed so much information in episode 9 that they couldn't deliver proper explanations for them.
I don't like their story, but I won't let that influence my rating, because I think that wouldn't be fair. But the way they told this story wasn't very well either. br> There was no preperations in the previous movies, so it all was too hasty. There were too less emotions because of it. I think at some point you don't even have to watch episode 7 and 8 to fully understand this movie.
The worst part though is something else. I really loved the Star Wars universe. Sure, there were ups and downs, but i really enjoyed every movie of episode 1 - 6, because the movies told a bigger story with a perfect ending. It should have ended there. Instead we now learn that, the main characters of episode 1-6 gave everything for nothing.
In my opinion it is now clear that they didn't have an idea for the whole trilogy when they started ep 7. It is now clear to me, that they wanted to do movies and didnt care about the story.
Visuals and acting were great, so it wasn't a total bummer. br> PS: thanks to rian johnson it wasn't the worst Star Wars movie.
